I have been moving things into my new studio slowly. I don't think most of my furniture will fit, but I will make do. I have a couple tables, some crates as shelves, a cute antique mirrored vanity and a couple chairs. Not much room for anything else. I'm loving the way it's turning out!

What's up?
Well, first of all, we have been very busy. We have some big things coming up, but I am not going to tell all the world right now. They are good things, some that may not happen, others that are happening soon. Let's just say that most would think it was an April Fool's joke if I shared!
- I finished the girl's room, well at least for now. I painted a cute picture on canvas, but the colors were too bright and didn't go well. It did go perfectly in C.'s room, so that is where we will hang it.
- We decided not to go vegan. Too much work at this point in my life. I do like the idea of doing it down the road, but for now it is so much easier to shop and cook for a larger family when we can use real milk, cheese, eggs, etc. We do a lot of vegetarian dishes, but also eat meat, fish and chicken at times. We are for sure cutting back though.
- As far as the memorizing Philipians goes... slow. I am still planning on doing it, but it is taking me a very long time. But that's ok!
- My birthday and E.'s is coming up soon! No big plans, but hope to find some fun activities to do on Saturday. On Easter we have my family coming out and I'm making some yummy food.
- E. had another preschool screening yesterday. He is still delayed and we are waiting till Friday to hear if they feel like he needs an official evaluation. If he qualifies for the preschool program, he will most likely not go until fall.
- I have been noticing E. hugging many people he barely knows lately. Like the cashier at Costco today. I don't know what to do when this situation happens...
E. "Can I hug you?"
stranger: "Oh, sure, you want a hug? Ok!"
Should I interject and say, "Please don't hug my son, we are still working on attachment."? Thoughts?
- On the food issues I posted in the past. E. is doing MUCH better. He still really loves food and asks to eat a lot, but not as much as he was. We are sure to offer a healthy snack when he asks. He still sneaks from the kitchen sometimes, or will swipe something from a sibling's plate occasionally. Recently I have noticed he has become more picky with the food I cook. I am thinking much of the issues he has exhibited in the past and currently are more than likely behavior issues rather than health/medical related.

Girls' room part 2
I ordered these quilts for the girls' room on Overstock.com. They came the other day are are perfect for their beds!! Nice, good quality, and low price! They are on the beds and ready for tucking in little sleepy heads. The only issue: the top bunk. If anyone has any ideas on how to easily and neatly make a top bunk, please fill me in. It takes me forever and is quite the workout!
This pic is from the Overstock website, not a picture of the girls' room.

Little girl's room
BEFORE:

K. has a bunk bed in her room, and has M.'s bed (bottom bunk) all made and ready for her to come home. We got them matching sheets last month. What a deal; high quality, Laura Ashley sheet sets from Ross for $12.00 each! The best part, they match the paint color we painted the room perfectly!

K. and our new addition, M. will be sharing a room. They are a little more than two years apart in age. K. is so excited about having a little sister. Although, with the info I have on M.'s sizes, she and K. are nearly the same size!

It took me a month, but I finished painting the ceiling white and the walls a pale bubble gum pink color. Very cute. We did pick out a lime green as an accent wall, but when we got some of that paint on the wall it just did not look right together. Too bright. It is now gracing the wall of our future play room.

The girl's room is not huge, but has enough room for a little table and chair set, and some room to play. K.'s favorite things to do are draw, play with dolls and stuffed animals, and dress up.

A few things left to do before it's perfect:
- Find some cute things to hang on the walls. Any ideas? I may be bold and try painting a few empty canvases we have.
- Some cute matching bedspreads/quilts
- A rug that is great at hiding dirt!
- A new light fixture. They have a hanging light that had a chinese type lantern. It ripped when someone was having a fit and destroyed it. I took the lantern down, so now there is just a hanging light bulb. We need to make a trip to IKEA!

Clean your room!
We cleaned the girls' room today and got rid of lots of junk! I have realized over the last several years that C. is a pack rat. She keeps all sorts of things, and if you aren't on top of it, their room gets really gross really fast. It looks really nice now. I even moved a chair in there, making more space in the living room. A few months ago I moved all their clothing into the "family closet" (aka our master bathroom). This really made life easier for me. Now after I fold clean laundry, I put it all away in one place; and there is no more clean clothes thrown on the floor in their rooms.
