First warm-ish day of 2011

On a sunny Sunday when J was off work, we headed to a nearby park with these two turkeys,

no, these ones...

pet and fed some animals,

"drove" a tractor,

climbed trees,

and discovered wetland life.

Not Much

Some little updates, but nothing much is going on here. I feel like there is a lot of stuff just hanging, waiting...hoping and praying.

• The Make A Wish project is slowly coming together. People are trying to make it happen May 11th. S. is ready!
• Our home visit for foster care is scheduled for May 2. There are just a few things we need to do to get ready. We recently ripped apart our old deck, and rebuilt a platform/steps to the ground. We need rails put up before then. And I need to find a one way CPR mask. Our house is most of the time cluttered and/or dirty thanks to five kids, so that is a never ending project.
• L. has his first Pony League baseball game today, actually a double header. He is catcher for his team, first time. Pray for safety!
• I am signing E. up for soccer. It starts next week. That should be interesting!

We signed our family up for the family pass at kidsbowlfree.com. What a great deal for the summer! The kids had a great time bowling last week.

C. age 11, took our cheap digital camera outside the other day... she is very artistic and creative.

The adopted cat with the ever changing name. Was Veronika, then found out she's a he, then Smores, then Scooter. The name is different depending on who you ask!

My friend Brooke has a photography business called Roxsey Photography. A few weeks ago she offered a great special. I couldn't resist and took the three youngest kids to the park for a short photo shoot. They turned out cute. These are my favorites:

Springtime!

I am so excited for spring! It's my favorite time of year, and I am glad it is finally here. There are some busy plans coming up with Easter, my birthday and E.'s birthday. We have been busy exploring the outdoors too. We had a fun afternoon trip to the beach with friends, and have been going to the parks. J. took some time to get the garden ready last week. I need to plan out the garden and get ready to plant.
